Master's Students: Data Science - Analysis, Business Intelligence, and Machine Learning

University at Albany students apply analytical models, methodologies, and tools learned in their degree programs to create an analytics solution for your organization. The University's Experiential Learning Coordinator in conjunction with faculty members will work with students to ensure the projects reflect, and encompass, best practices for big data analytics, business intelligence, and project management. Our students are open to one-on-one and group projects.
Capstone Design Project

Throughout the academic year, student teams work on a real project with a project sponsor to propose, prototype/design, build, test, demonstrate, present and fully document a working prototype of a sophisticated computing system or application. The company's input will be used by the student team to ideate and propose an acceptable solution. Projects will be completed during a semester-long capstone class.
Virtual Internship - Emergency Preparedness and/or Criminal Justice

Virtual Internship Opportunity The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity is designed to emphasize critical thinking, oral and written communication, creativity and innovation, problem solving skills, cultural literacy, and interpersonal and teamwork skills. In addition to these general skills, the major emphasizes leadership, public administration, management, risk analysis, ethics, policymaking, planning, strategic communication, and systemic thinking. The concentrations/specializations are: • Emergency Preparedness • Homeland Security • Cybersecurity (policy/non-technical) The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice studies the social, political, economic, and cultural forces that influence definitions of crime, explain offending and crime rates, sway societal reactions, influence policy, and shape the criminal justice system. Interests/specializations include: Law enforcement Government Research Non-profit agencies
